Job Description
The Business Development Representative is responsible for proactive, outbound sales to generate qualified opportunities to the sales pipeline. A successful BDR is goal-orientated, competitive and highly organized. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, intellectually curious, pursasive and resilient.
Responsibilities
- Generate sales pipeline by meeting/ exceeding daily outbound metrics and setting qualified meetings for the sales team
- Actively identify new strategies to target decision makers and create high-quality sales meetings using all resources available
- Consistently execute a high volume of daily outbound prospecting activity including cold calls
- Develop and maintain an understanding of IIQ products/services and their value propositions
- Thorough development and qualification of leads including the establishment of need, authority, time and budget
- Consistently and accurately track all activity and related information in CRM
- Manage, update and maintain account information in CRM
- Work collaboratively with leadership to strategize and develop outbound prospecting plans
- Follow up on marketing efforts, including webinars, on-site events, online events, and emails to engage prospect
- Respond, engage and qualify inbound leads and inquiries
- Responsible for weekly reporting on prospecting activity
- Builds relationships with prospective clients and provides timely relevant follow-ups
- Collaborates with other teams and upper management to become familiar with new clients, product enhancements, and procedures to ensure they are accurately represented in the sales material
- Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential clients
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 + years of experience in sales, relationship management
- Highly motivated to achieve goals and weekly metrics.
- Tech-savvy with a mindset for collaboration
- Enthusiast, strong work ethic, and a positive “can-do” attitude above all
- Ability to speak persuasively and translate complex products and services into compelling value statements
- Strong ability to take initiative and work autonomously while staying available to other team members
- Ability to discern priorities and to ask for help when needed
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent professional communication skills – both verbal and written
- Future-forward thinker who is comfortable bridging the gap between traditional property management mindsets and the future of their business
- Comfortable with fast, frequent changes in systems and processes
- Able to manage multiple requests and deadlines with ease

- Experienced in dealing with difficult situations, but with a win-win friendly personality approach to the solution
- Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Office 365
