Francois Gouelo is the Co-Founder and CEO of Enso Connect, a guest experience operating software that leverages smart home devices and AI communication to provide a seamless experience to homeowners, property managers, and guests.
The Future of AI
By now, we’ve all accepted that AI is here to stay. It’s ingrained in practically every industry and becoming more and more common in our everyday lives. But we still hear many, many concerns surrounding its potential for taking over our jobs and replacing the need for people!
Francois is not a fan of these concerns. In fact, he thinks they’re unfounded. To him, AI is a new capability for us, as humans, to leverage. Particularly in hospitality. He explains that AI is more about scaling up, human input is crucial to keep personalizing experiences to guests:
“I think the human aspect is so important in personalizing the guest experience, personalizing the overall stay. But being able to use AI will just speed up a lot of the tasks that you need to be able to do in order to scale realistically”.
So maybe it won’t replace us, but how exactly will it speed things up?
AI Use Cases
With new AI capabilities cropping up every day, its use cases across industries are becoming more and more diverse. Francois’ background is in the linguistics side of AI, but he has seen potential applications across all facets.
From an image perspective, he sees AI as enhancing the graphic design you present on your website’s different OTAs. Or it could even be used in your videos to reduce the amount of time you have to put into recording.
On the language side, it can write content, or answer low-stakes questions from your guests. You can even train language models with your documentation, creating a knowledge base where your staff can ask simple questions on unfamiliar processes and get an instant answer without having to wade through all of your documentation. This creates a new training database for your staff, that can be used in conjunction with other appropriate software like Streamline.
It’s easy to do, too. Francois explains:
“All you need to do really is copy-paste that information in an AI-based knowledge base. So if you have it on paper, move it on a computer. If you have it on a computer, move it to an AI-based knowledge base.”
He sees AI as revolutionary:
“AI is going to play into answering your guests, training your team, rewriting the content to be more approachable to a different audience potentially, and as well, enhancing images, just making the whole process easier.”
